But who forged the KBC? Was it opponents or proponents? When was the KBC forged? I have publicly adduced one theory, and suggested the existence of a second, more sinister, explanation for the appearance of the document. But no one really knows.
Someone apparently forged a birth document concerning the President of the United States. The American people have a right to a thorough and impartial investigation of this matter.
If it turns out that someone in fact forged the KBC to obstruct justice, then that person should be criminally prosecuted. There is no place for forgery or lies on either side of the Obama birth controversy. I have consistently rejected lies as an appropriate response to Barack Obama’s own stream of distortions and fabrications.
Because the document is on file in a federal court, and because the document may represent an attempt to obstruct justice, the Department of Justice indisputably has jurisdiction to conduct an investigation of such a document.
Most respectfully, I would urge you to do the following:
First, I would suggest you consider appointing an independent counsel (or “special prosecutor”), preferably someone who is a Republican but an attorney who has a criminal justice, and not an actively political, background.
Second, if a preliminary review of the document reveals that it is not authentic, and I am sure that will not take a great deal of effort on a threshold basis, I would suggest you allow the counsel to convene a grand jury to investigate the provenance of the material. Even a forged document can have a continuing corrosive effect on the legitimacy of the president. …

All this could end if Obama would just show his real long form with all the information on it. Spending over a million dollars to hide it tells most he is hiding the true facts.There is no other logical reason to hide the true facts. This issue is not going to go away and some day it will come out.

If the request had been limited to just the (original long form) birth certificate, then I might be inclined to agree. However, much more than just the birth certificate is being pursued. If the threshold is crossed with the birth certificate, then BHO would have to furnish everything else that is being claimed as well. Can someone explain to me why there is a need for records from kindergarten?

If this document is going to be investigated, then investigate the Obama Online Copy that Gibbs keeps referring to, my 14-year-old could reproduce that piece of garbage with Adobe Photoshop in about an hour, what is going on ? It is the old bait and switch sales routine. Obama has avoided investigation with every political step he has made. If it were Richard Nixon trying to cover up his birth certificate, the press and the Washington elite would be all over it, ready to run him out on a rail.
What is going on ? This is NUTS ! Investigate Obama's COLB, his old passport, his Indonesian school records, etc. We need to know who is in charge of following the CONSTITUTION !

Obama's CoLB was investigated by none other than WND. They said it was genuine.
Obama's citizenship was investigated by the State Department when he got his first US passport.
Why do you want Obama's Indonesian school records, he was a little boy at the time?
